Where are you from?
I am from the Netherlands. I live and work in the Hague.
Tell us about your role at Fenestrae
I started at Fenestrae when I was 19 years old in 1992 and left in August 2000. I came back 15 years later in 2015 and it felt like I never left. I have been back at Fenestrae since, handling sales and order processing for our customers.
I am responsible for the maintenance and support contract renewals, which also involves the e-deliveries and invoicing and creating new contracts. I am also responsible for financial and office tasks for our Dutch office.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
The versatility! I have the privilege to know and work with all of our customers and resellers. It is amazing that we still have some of the same customers as when I started in 1992. It is a huge accomplishment knowing so many organizations want to continue working with us for decades.
What are some of your best skills?
I am always willing to assist and listen! Due to my longevity within the company, I am able to find solutions or ways to help my colleagues and our customers. When Dura Software acquired Fenestrae they called me the “company glue.” I never realized this but I think I am helping us stay glued together. I connect with different departments within our company and people know how to reach me and can depend on me.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
I have a husband and a 9 year old son and 3 Siberian cats. Most of my free time is spending time at home with my family. I also like to walk in the forest or on the beach to look at different scenery.
