Tell Us About Your Role at Fenestrae?
I started with Fenestrae June 12,1995 as my first job after school, which now adds up to 27.5 years. I am a Senior Software Engineer, but I also perform tasks as network administrator and system administrator of our hosted platforms. As a software engineer I am responsible for designing and developing features for the product, resolving bugs and managing our automated build-server and engine so that customers can use our solutions successfully. As network administrator, I help keep the networks running and secure and the hosted platforms running.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I love working with both high and low level technologies, hardware and software to use not just a single environment or language. Getting technical and diving into our solution and seeing how we’ve evolved over decades is rewarding.
What would you say are some of your best skills?
Some of my best skills are having the ability to write in various languages that team members speak, code reading, having a vast technical knowledge of both the product and technologies and my ability to solve complex problems.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
Puzzles! I love doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. I also enjoy cycling, walking, reading and fiddle with home-network.
